Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Sig Nexus. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sig Nexus website, platform, services, and content (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

Sig Nexus is a platform dedicated to connecting medical minds and facilitating medical knowledge exchange. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including medical professionals, researchers, healthcare organizations, and other visitors to our platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Registration and Account

  • Provide medical advice or diagnosis without appropriate professional qualifications and licensure

Professional Conduct

Given the professional nature of our platform serving the medical community, users are expected to:

  • Maintain professional standards of communication and behavior
  • Respect the confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA and other applicable privacy regulations
  • Provide accurate professional credentials and affiliations
  • Engage in respectful and constructive discourse with other members
  • Report any content or behavior that violates these Terms or professional ethics

User Content

You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights in content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). However, by submitting User Content, you grant Sig Nexus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such User Content in connection with operating and providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

 

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Sig Nexus and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of the United States and foreign countries.

Our Trademarks

The Sig Nexus name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Sig Nexus or its affiliates or licensors. You must not use such marks without our prior written permission. All other names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans on the Service are the trademarks of their respective owners.

Copyright Policy

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law. If you believe any content on the Service infringes your copyright, please notify us in writing at legal@signexus.com with the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information sufficient to locate it
  • Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)

Restrictions

Account Terms and Termination

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities or actions under your account. We encourage you to use strong passwords and to enable two-factor authentication if available. You must immediately notify us of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by discontinuing use of the Service and contacting us at support@signexus.com. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity obligations, and limitations of liability.

Data Retention

Following account termination, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may also retain cached or archived copies of information about you for a certain period of time as described in our Privacy Policy.

NEITHER SIG NEXUS NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH SIG NEXUS MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION WITH RESPECT TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICE.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NEITHER SIG NEXUS NOR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH SIG NEXUS REPRESENTS OR WARRANTS THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT THE SERVICE OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES IT AVAILABLE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL OTHERWISE MEET YOUR NEEDS OR EXPECTATIONS.
